In this vital role you will be part of Amgen’s Ground-breaking Digital Capabilities (TDC) organization, which is a process development function at the cutting edge of digital transformation in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Work in collaboration with business owners, system owners, software vendors, scientists/engineers/users, and a broad set of collaborators to define, implement, and sustain a digital thread integrating lab execution systems (ELN/LIMS), instrument data systems (IDA/HTE), and data analysis systems.
- Develop and execute an integrated product roadmap for the ELN/LIMS platform and IDA/HTE environments
- Define an integrated and coherent strategy of the ELN/LIMS and IDA/HTE systems
- Champion the adoption of Agile development frameworks across multi-functional teams
- Lead multi-functional initiatives to integrate instrument data systems with ELN/LIMS, enhancing data capture, analysis, and reporting capabilities in high throughput settings.
- Maximize the impact and outcomes of the ELN/LIMS and IDA/HTE systems
What we expect of you
The dynamic professional we seek is a process-driven professional with these qualifications.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma / GED and 12 years of process development experience OR
- Associate’s degree and 10 years of process development experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of process development experience OR
- Master’s degree and 6 years of process development experience OR
- Doctorate degree and 2 years of process development experience
- In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation of resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exceptional analytical abilities, including systems thinking
- Exceptional ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environments
- Experience in electronic lab notebooks is required.
- Experience with Agile development frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Scaled Agile) is required.
- Expertise in instrument data systems (e.g., chromatography data systems) and/or high throughput experimentation is highly desired.
- Experience in product management is desired.
- Basic Python programming skills is a plus
- Basic command of software engineering skills, including design patterns and anti-patterns is a plus
