SUMMARY: The Director of Business Development will have responsibility to ensure that AAR remains competitive in the market. The main goals will be to produce new customers, work with current customers, and follow-up with all industry trends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assure AAR's competitiveness in the market.
- Liaise to keep AAR ahead of industry trends.
- Work to procure new business and work to exceed current customers' needs.
- Promote the mission, vision, and values that AAR has developed in order to maintain a strong relationship with our employees, customers, and stockholders.
- Successful implementation of any Business Plan Objectives.
- Provide direction to the group to ensure that goals and objectives are met in the most efficient and effective way possible.
- Ensure that employees have the skills needed to perform their job in order for the group to achieve the goals and objectives desired.
- Develop the employees in your group in order for them to improve their ability to meet changes in their job requirements and in employee/customer demands.
- Interface with other Divisional Managers as required during the applicable decision-making process.
- All other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with AAR's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
