Associate Director - Business Development & Marketing
An exciting and dynamic new role to complement a rapidly growing Institutional Client Services (ICS) Business Development & Marketing (BD&M) team in the US as well as the wider BD&M team covering ICS and Group activity.
PURPOSE OF JOB
Primary focus will be working on the external marketing of the fund administration business in the US. As Associate Director of the US ICS Marketing team, you will work alongside the Global Head of ICS BD&M, Senior Management, and the existing team to drive and deliver the strategic external programme. The role includes working closely with business development (BD) team members to meet the department KPIs of raising JTC's profile among strategic target audiences and developing and using available marketing tools and channels to deliver our proposition with measurable outcomes.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- As an integral member of the ICS marketing team, work collaboratively with the existing ICS Marketing team to deliver the external marketing programme, including focused email campaigns to existing targets, general campaign management, content production for email campaigns, and complementary thought leadership delivered across digital and traditional channels as well as collateral management.
- Develop and manage content/campaign calendar and implementation thereof across all channels, including social media, email campaigns, advertising (where appropriate). Content includes all platforms such as written, video, webinars, podcasts, etc. KPI is to drive traffic to the JTC website resulting in lead generation and ultimate conversion to win business.
- Work with the Senior Manager – BD&M to create bespoke marketing collateral and pitch material as needed by the BD teams in the US.
- Collate and deliver a tailored events strategy, plan and oversight of all events for the above-mentioned service pillars as agreed and as per budget.
- Ensure BD teams are using Pandadoc for proposals and work with them to update relevant documents where necessary.
- Conduct market research on specific targets as required.
- Manage contact and distribution lists for the service pillars in accordance with GDPR guidelines.
- Build Intermediary program run in collaboration with Head of US BD.
- Assist and drive action on the US version of the KAM program.
- Work closely with the Specialty Administration pillar on identified marketing opportunities.
- Work with ICS and Group marketing colleagues to drive the effective use of internal communications to support the commercial ambitions of the ICS Division.
- Adhere to all internal processes and procedures.
- Assist Head of BD&M ICS to proactively monitor the performance of the marketing program using a clearly defined set of metrics and available tools (e.g. Salesforce CRM and Einstein Analytics reporting).
- Ongoing creation, management, and oversight of website and collateral content.
- Deliver status reports on activities monthly to the Global Head of Marketing on progress, issues, risk, and escalation.
- Develop a good relationship with ICS trade media to increase PR coverage when required.
- Work with PR agency to increase PR coverage.
- Work with the EMEA ICS division to identify joint marketing efforts, always ensuring efficiency and alignment to the marketing KPIs for ICS US.
- Attend regular internal marketing and BD meetings and assist with providing meaningful, accurate updates on marketing campaigns, competitor activity, and brand strength.
- Support ICS and BD&M team with activities as required.
- Proactively contribute to developing effective and efficient internal procedures.
- Undertake travel as required, in line with the Group’s travel policy.
- Adhere to Risk & Compliance policies and procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation and to any Divisional policies and procedures.
- Develop self and commit to always becoming deeply expert in relevant fields. Adhere to applicable CPD requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures where relevant.
- Ensure the spirit of JTC is engendered and shared within the Group and adhere to the JTC core values and expected behaviors.
- Any other relevant duties as deemed necessary by Management.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years Marketing experience at Manager level or above – experience in communications highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
- Demonstrable technical knowledge in financial services marketing, experience in Fund Services essential.
- Demonstrable experience of directly managing third party resources and budgets.
