Job Description - Physician - Primary Care (Internal Medicine Clinic, DT Mpls)

Hennepin Healthcare has a current opening for a full-time Primary Care Physician in the Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM).
GIM at Hennepin Healthcare is a vibrant academic practice that provides clinical, teaching, and other scholarly opportunities. There are clinical opportunities across a variety of outpatient settings. Inpatient opportunities may be available for providers interested in a combined outpatient/inpatient practice.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, treat, and manage chronic physical health, mental health, and substance use conditions.
- Promote preventative health care with screenings and immunizations, and appropriate health maintenance.
- Supervision of approximately 3-6 staff residents in the clinic on a weekly basis.
- Regularly contribute to educational opportunities and didactics for medical students and residents.
- On call via pager at night approximately 1-2 days per month.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current License to practice Medicine in the State of Minnesota (or eligibility for).
- BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- If Board Eligible, must be Board Certified within 4 years of completing training.
- Buprenorphine X-waiver or obtained within one year of hire.
- Able to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
