This Birmingham Health System is seeking a Board certified/board eligible Cardiologist for its office in Clanton, AL (55 miles south). This position is ideal for both a general, non-invasive Cardiologist or for an invasive/interventional Cardiologist looking for a more balanced lifestyle.
Job Features:
- Large employed Cardiology group with an opening in Clanton.
- The facility is a full-service community hospital that opened in 2016.
- Located a short 25 – 30-minute drive from the most prominent suburbs in Birmingham and halfway between Birmingham and Montgomery.
- Provide General Cardiology Services in an underserved captive market with plenty of business.
- Lab time can be available at the Birmingham facility if desired.
- Great growth potential through marketing and developing a strong relationship with our ER physicians, hospitalists, and community-based providers.
- Work Monday through Friday except holidays.

- Established hospitalist service for the majority of admissions, with consult to cardiology.

- Local team (advanced practice provider, clinical and clerical staff member).
- Consult on in-patients, make rounds as needed, and follow-up after diagnostic testing is completed. Manage patients in the clinic.
- Authorized user on the nuclear medicine license for nuclear cardiology services.
- Monitor and manage the following: ECGs, Stress Testing, Nuclear Medicine Stress Testing, Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Carotid Dopplers, Arterial / Venous Extremity Exams, Holter Monitoring, Event Monitoring, Loop Recorder Placement, CT Calcium Scoring Exams, Cardioversions, Pacemaker Interrogations.
