CUSO Financial Services, LP (CFS), in its partnership with San Francisco Fire Credit Union, is seeking a Financial Advisor to provide investment and retirement planning services for its members in the San Francisco Bay area.
SF Fire Credit Union has $1.7 billion in assets and more than 76,000 members. SF Fire Credit Union aspires to maintain high standards to provide credit union members with the full-service financial and investment services needed to help them make smart financial decisions. We are looking for the right person to help build the success of the investment program and assist credit union members in making sound investment choices.
As a Financial Advisor, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Identifies and evaluates customer needs for financial services, assesses the objectives and goals of the individual, then develops an investment strategy to implement.
- Stays current and analyzes market conditions, educating and updating themselves about financial and investment vehicles in the market and the tax and securities consequences to clients with particular investments. Attends training and/or completes required continuing education and keeps current on investment products and services offered. Meets regularly with Program Manager and trains, if necessary, with Program Manager.
- Drives investment and program integration initiatives with credit union and/or assigned bank program (includes branch personnel training). Provides regular feedback to branch employees, identified credit union executives, and sales manager regarding sales practices and business development initiatives. Works with Financial Center Managers to identify and leverage cross-sell opportunities.
- Services and performs periodic reviews of existing client accounts, meeting with clients periodically to review and update client needs ensuring investment objectives and goals are progressing according to plan. Meetings to take place either monthly, quarterly, and/or yearly depending on client needs established by Representative.
- Remains visible to the appropriate segments of the public to meet and retain potential new clients for CFS, including conducting client workshops/seminars on various topics (i.e., Social Security, Education planning, Retirement planning, etc.).
Desired Qualifications:
- Licenses and Registrations: FINRA Series 7, 63/65 (or 66) and Life, Accident, and Health Insurance licenses.
- Clean U-4 and Background.
- Two or more years of sales experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a bank or credit union.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation preferred.
