Gastroenterologist
Our client Health is seeking a board certified or board eligible, fellowship trained General or IBD Gastroenterologist to join an outstanding 14 Gastroenterologist group practice in Central Texas. Advanced procedures (ERCP/EUS) are not required. An interest in IBD, women's health, luminal GI, Colorectal Cancer, reflux, nutrition or GI motility is preferred. We are a tertiary IBD referral center highlighted by 9 fellows, 2 other IBD MDs, 2 IBD NPs and 4 dedicated Colorectal Surgeons. We are looking for a gastroenterologist who is comfortable with clinical research including clinical trials, speaking at large internal medicine Grand Rounds and would be interested in teaching and working beside fellows and Advanced Practice Professionals every day. We practice team-based, multidisciplinary care of our complex GI patients and are looking for a hard-working, team player with a favorable work and/or training history.
Candidates should be able to independently administer and interpret routine and special diagnostic tests in an expedient and professional manner. Candidates should also be able to effectively collaborate with referring physicians, agencies and other professionals to provide optimum care for each patient.

Shift/Schedule: FT, Days, call averages 1 week every 2 months; may have minimal travel to Waco clinic.

Minimum Requirements:
Doctorate Degree in Medicine
Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists.
