Vice President – Civilian Programs – Reston, VA
We are looking for an entrepreneurial executive who has a passion for building and winning. This candidate is someone who knows how to build a robust government professional services consulting Division and has the leadership skills to develop and sustain a culture of growth.
They will oversee, cultivate, and grow delivery within the Federal Civilian market. They will oversee Program Directors and Project Managers tasked with delivering solutions on time and within budget while finding areas of new business and driving growth.
This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will work closely with other members of the senior leadership and Corporate Growth teams in formulating and executing corporate growth strategies in the Federal Civilian market.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Take the lead in building customer relationships and will be expected to cultivate new and organic business and contracting opportunities throughout the Federal Civilian government market.
- Responsible for leading, developing, and mentoring team members and inspiring them to deliver consistently excellent work products and customer service on time while meeting profitability objectives and exceeding client expectations.
- Responsible for implementing and leading the company's long-term strategic growth plan for the Portfolio, managing the Portfolio business pipeline, and developing new opportunities. The successful candidate will coordinate regular reviews of new and in-progress business pursuits, and form, coordinate, and strengthen industry partnerships related to business growth and opportunity pursuits.
Required Skills/Certifications & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in a P&L leadership role with demonstrated growth in that role.
- 10+ years working in government contracting – must understand the federal business lifecycle and procurement process.
- 5+ years’ experience managing and leading the delivery of information technology consulting services engagements, including the development of technical and management strategies and overseeing multiple complex projects.
- Experience performing overall contract financial oversight to include labor utilization, estimates at completion, revenue, and maintaining profit and loss responsibility.
- Experience effectively navigating contractual negotiations and diagnosing complex technical and business problems to uncover unknown and unmet client needs.
- Must have some direct business development and/or client-focused capture experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- BS or BA in Technical, Business, or related field.
Preferred Skills/Certifications & Experience
- Knowledge of the Treasury or Commerce (or other non-DoD) customer base.
- PMI-PMP.
- Secret security clearance.
