SAIC is looking for a Business Development (BD) Senior Manager to support its US Army Enterprise IT business. As a Growth company, SAIC requires an individual who is motivated to think differently about business development to shape opportunities the Army may not know it needs. As such, our BD Senior Manager will pro-actively manage a dynamic, multi-year pipeline of opportunities in various stages of maturity. This position reports to the Vice President of Business Development in the Army Business Group. The location for this role is the NOVA/DC area, other locations considered for ideal candidate with ability to travel frequently to NOVA/DC as needed.
Our Business Development Senior Manager will work as an integral part of the Enterprise IT team, which includes program oversight, capture, and solution development. The BD Senior Manager will collaborate closely with the Portfolio Vice President and Director to create an overall strategy to maximize revenue and profit for the company. The BD Sr. Manager will identify actions to target white space growth, develop and execute call plans, assist with pursue/no pursue decision, recommend teaming for specific opportunities, assist with proposal development/review, recommend action plans for other members of the Enterprise IT team, and coordinate messaging and engagements between other SAIC business units.
The successful candidate will:
- Be clearly conversant with enterprise IT, Cyber, Unified Network Operations, (e.g. network, cyber, data science, data management) and their benefits to the US Army.
- Be results driven, participating in all aspects of a complete capture that results in the award of programs.
- Work well in a highly productive, highly accountable, small team environment.
- Have a proven record of successful shaping of technical opportunities in the US Army/DoD.
- Have a proven record of executing unique approaches to lead generation and business growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- 5 years’ experience shaping technical opportunities (software development, data analysis, IT, cybersecurity, etc.).
- Highly effective interpersonal skills working with technical leaders and business executives within SAIC, with DoD/Army customers, and with teammates and subcontractors.
- Provide portfolio of submittals and awards that include experience in all types of government contracts (FFP, T&M, Cost Plus) and full array of capture strategies (major re-competes, incumbent capture, sole source) (Preferred).
- Be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.
