We are looking for a Sales Director, reporting to the CCO to join our talented team in Fremont, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Qualify Customer Inquirers for Confluent Services
- Understand the customer request for Confluent services
- Determine if the customer requested services align with the Confluent capabilities
- Understand if the customer products align with the key Confluent markets
- Understand if the customer project aligns with the overall Confluent business strategies
- Communicate with a customer if Confluent is not a good fit, potentially making referrals to other suppliers
- Win Awards for New Production Business
- For customer opportunities that match well with the Confluent business strategy, work with the Confluent systems to achieve a customer business award for production
- Fully understand the customer’s key milestones and needed Confluent deliverables
- Work well with the Confluent Product Solutions teams, PD, and Ops sites to scope a plan that will achieve the customer goals
- Follow the Confluent process to gain approval for providing customer proposals
- Achieve an annual set goal for the number of new projects awarded to Confluent
Supervision Received
Receive very general guidance with respect to overall objectives; work is usually quite independent of others; operate within division or department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or human resources department.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals and objectives.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university in engineering or physical sciences; or five to eight years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5+ years of experience in the medical industry, whether OEMS or CDMOs.
Work Schedule/Hours
- Work schedule highly flexible given numerous customers in time zones throughout the world.
Travel
- Some travel required, up to 30% may be required.
