We are looking for an International Tax Director to join our growing tax department to lead our international tax planning function. This position will report directly to the Senior Tax Director, Global Tax. The role will provide support for Global tax planning, Global transfer pricing, US international compliance, Global tax accounting, and mergers and acquisition assistance. This position provides the individual with an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment of a Fortune company. We are looking for a self-starter who is not afraid to tackle large datasets and has strong verbal and written communication skills. The position has the flexibility for the individual to make an impact on the organization, as many of the modeling and calculations will contribute to the company’s business strategies. This individual will need to stay current to US tax concepts through training and research, as the US and global tax environment continues to evolve.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Tax Director with projects that support corporate business strategies and tax planning opportunities, leveraging cross-functional leaders and teams where appropriate.
- Determine potential impacts on the company’s effective tax rate and cash tax outlay related to tax planning projects.
- Review E&P, GILTI, SubF and other tax calculations for tax planning project impacts.
- Determine the US and local impacts for cash repatriation initiatives, teaming with Treasury leadership.
- Analyze GAAP, local statutory, and ASC740 accounting aspects of tax planning projects, ensuring accurate reporting on quarterly and annual tax provisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve current processes and procedures as they relate to tax.
- Research and document tax law changes and rulings affecting business operations including new Pillar 2 global minimum tax rules.
- Review income tax and informational returns for any impacts related to tax planning projects.
- Develop and train direct reports, including tax interns or tax analysts.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field.
- Masters in Tax preferred.
- CPA preferred.
Skills and Experience:
- 10 plus years overall experience in global income tax reporting.
- 5 plus years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently.
- Proactive problem solver and innovative thinker.
- Ability to interact and team with professionals in various global functional areas to resolve complex tax issues throughout the organization.
- Detail oriented and excellent analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of various reporting systems is preferred (i.e., Hyperion, OneStream).
- Working knowledge of tax technology solutions (Corptax Compliance and Provision) is a plus.
- Optimizes the talent within the organizational structure and fosters an environment to promote individual and team growth and career development goals.
- Ability to work on time-sensitive, confidential projects.
