The ideal candidate is an expert communicator with a strong ability to delegate responsibility and successfully collaborate with others within and across teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic plan for optimized productivity
- Guide business unit toward achieving required annual budget and profitability
- Closely monitor business cashflow, ensuring timely execution of work and collection of payment
- Measure business unit performance according to designated KPIs
- Manage, hire, train, coach, counsel, and discipline employees; upgrade staff as needed to ensure financial performance
- Communicate regularly and clearly with senior leaders relative to designated performance metrics
- Seek out opportunities for growth by developing new business relationships
- Work across other business units to facilitate best practices and operational excellence; share resources and assets with other business units
- Assess employee performance and provide helpful feedback and training; conduct annual performance evaluations
- Proactively implement management tools to facilitate sales growth and efficiency
- Build and maintain a sales team with performance that meets or exceeds industry benchmarks and KPIs
- Make difficult decisions quickly and decisively in the best interest of the business unit
- Develop and implement operational objectives, standards, procedures, and policies
- Develop good relationships with vendors, material suppliers, and key industry participants
- Ensure compliance with all safety requirements of job sites and projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Proficient with profit and loss statements
- 5+ years in a sales-related position or managing sales personnel
- 5+ years experience in construction or construction-related trade with P&L responsibilities
- 10+ years experience in a leadership position
- Experience in contracts administration
- Experience in conducting performance evaluations
- Experience developing strategic plans for optimized productivity
- Ability to clearly present financial and operational performance data to senior leaders
- Experience in residential services related trades or businesses
- Excellent communication skills with various stakeholders
