About the role
The Technology Sourcing and Innovation "TSI" Team Manager will have managerial responsibilities for a large team and will be responsible for all aspects of people management within a functional area. The role will also be accountable for operational delivery and performance.
The role requires approximately 30% domestic travel.
What you'll be doing
- Provide advisory role within specialist area to peer group, customers, and direct reports.
- Manages, develops, and coaches team of staff and implements performance management solutions where required.
- Provides full line management responsibilities for direct reports.
- Assess situations, issues and opportunities and escalate when appropriate.
- A point of escalation on complex or serious issues or complaints and providing appropriate support to other team members.
- Maintain confidentiality in all business-related matters.
- Liaise with colleagues to ensure best practice and continual improvement in delivery of service to the business.
- Establishes productive relationships and networks at an operational level to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Responsible for the adoption of CC best practice and service offerings to ensure consistency of service.
- Act in accordance with Computacenter Information Security Policies and report any potential or actual Security events or other Security risks to the organization.
- Embrace and support Computacenter's mission and core values.
What you have
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a people management role.
- Experience of working in a challenging commercial environment.
- Good working knowledge of relevant functional systems.
- Experience of developing best practice policies and procedures for functional area.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating with colleagues in different countries where English is not the first spoken language.
- Good self-organization and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
- Can build trust, be assertive when required and shows initiative and enthusiasm.
- Resilience, and able to deal with stressful situations.
- Business and financial acumen with strong analytical skills.
- Commercially astute.
- Ability to act both independently and as part of a team.
- Initiative to develop and expand knowledge.
- Computacenter experience in internal processes, systems, tools, and platforms.
- Team-oriented working and thinking.
- Willingness to travel.
