Overview
Unique opportunity to be a key part of building a profitable Media and Entertainment Liability insurance book of business within ANV Global Services. ANV Global Services (www.anv.eu.com), part of AmTrust Group (www.amtrustgroup.com) underwrites as a Global MGU with centres in Europe, London and the USA.
We are currently looking for a VP of Media and Entertainment Liability to join the team.
Main scope of role:
Underwrite, market and manage new and renewal Media and Film Liability (and other products as developed) in cooperation with the SVP of ANV Media.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the SVP of ANV Media to continue to grow the Media and Entertainment Liability product.
- Produce, develop and underwrite Media and Film business from wholesale brokers nationwide.
- Prioritize and underwrite new and renewal submissions.
- Maintain a high level of customer service.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of new and existing wholesale broker relationships.
- Promote the growth and strong reputation of ANV Global Services / AmTrust Group.
- Ability to understand and execute strategic priorities, including pricing and rate strategy, underwriting appetite, limit management, agent strategy and mix of business.
- Underwrite business in accordance with ANV's policies / procedures, Media and Film Liability Business Plan, Underwriting Guidelines and Authority Statement in maintaining high underwriting standards and discipline including adequate pricing, analysis and retention to ensure delivery of profitable results.
- Travel to broker and client meetings and events as assigned.
- Cross-sell other Financial Lines insurance products as necessary.
- Other related duties as deemed necessary and assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of underwriting or broking experience with some or all Professional Liability including Media and Film, MPL and/or Cyber.
- Experience in Surplus Lines/non-admitted market a plus.
- Four-year college degree.
- Strong knowledge of the Media and Film external market and demonstrated marketing and business development experience within the wholesale distribution channel.
- PC Literate with emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent internal and external communication, interpersonal and listening skills.
- Must be a team player who enjoys a fast-paced business and entrepreneurial environment.
- Existing agent/broker license in P&C or take P&C and Surplus Lines Producer Examinations in home state.
