As the VP - IT, Global Functions, you will be a strategic leader responsible for supporting the information technology needs of HR, Finance, Legal, and Corporate Communications Global Functions. You will develop the technology strategy and multi-year roadmap, including investments and simplification initiatives, in alignment with the functions' strategies that support overall business objectives, digital process transformation, and dedicated operations. You will own the development and implementation of employee engagement and collaboration technologies globally, ensuring the technology supports the evolving workplace and employee needs.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Global Functions leadership (Finance, HR, Legal, and Corporate Communications) and product/project owners to develop and implement strategies, technology, and technology roadmaps in line with business objectives.
- Surface and influence the adoption of new technologies that improve engagement, efficiency, decision-making, quality, security, and overall simplification of the environment.
- Collaborate with leadership and product/process owners to establish portfolio intake processes that align with the Global IT Demand management process. This ensures timely investment decisions and the ability to prioritize demand when business conditions shift.
- Build and lead a team that collaborates with executives to set budgets, define strategic goals, and align initiatives with those goals in the technology portfolio. Ensure the team has the right skills to handle changing portfolio needs.
- Work alongside the Business Development team to ensure effective planning and implementation of M&A and Partnership activities.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, data, infrastructure, and security and compliance teams to incorporate them into portfolio planning for Global Functions and enterprise agile standards.
- Provide strategic IT leadership for Finance's multi-year Endeavor transformation program.
- Lead the development and continual improvement of the employee digital training platform and content, while providing overall IT leadership for evolving the strategic workplace engagement and collaboration technologies and platforms.
Qualifications:
- Detailed knowledge of Workday, JDE, and other systems and tools that facilitate Global Functions (Finance, HR, Legal, Corporate Communications).
- 15 years of progressive application development/maintenance and/or project/program management experience. Minimum of 10 years in a significant managerial role.
- Knowledge of Cloud computing models and how they can be optimally deployed to support business objectives (AWS required and one additional cloud preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Technical and business support of enterprise functions, e.g., Finance, HR, Legal, etc.
- Demonstrated success driving the development, implementation, support, and upgrading of large enterprise platforms. JDE, Salesforce, Workday, and ServiceNow experience a plus.
- Experience with project/product and portfolio level Agile methodologies.
- Proven ability to build strong teams; recruit top talent and develop colleagues of all levels.
- Strong ability to connect with others, influence decisions, and deliver engaging presentations to diverse groups.
- Bachelor's degree required; major in Information Systems or related technology degree preferred. An MBA or advanced degree preferred.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $280,000-385,000 USD annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
