Position Overview: PRN Physical Therapy is seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Development Officer (Health Systems Focus) to spearhead the expansion of our business through the development of joint ventures with new health systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development, relationship building, and strategic planning, with a specific focus on the healthcare industry. We are looking for a visionary leader who can leverage their expertise to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, ultimately driving growth and profitability for PRN Physical Therapy. This position will also oversee our De Novo Development and PT acquisition pipeline and deal execution.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement strategic plans to establish joint ventures between PRN Physical Therapy and new health systems.
2. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within target health systems, including executives, physicians, and administrators.
3. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential partnership opportunities and assess market trends.
4. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of business development efforts with organizational goals and objectives.
5. Negotiate partnership agreements and contracts, ensuring terms are favorable and in the best interest of PRN Physical Therapy. Assure all legal and diligence coordination across both internal and external stakeholders.
6. Provide leadership and direction to a cross-functional team responsible for executing joint venture initiatives.
7. Monitor and evaluate the performance of joint venture partnerships, making recommendations for optimization and improvement as needed.
8. Stay informed about industry regulations, competitive landscape, and emerging trends that may impact business development strategies.
9. Execute on development roadmap for practice acquisitions.
10. Oversee our development and real estate practice for the Company along with site section for new deals.
11. Coordination and direct involvement with companys equity and debt sponsors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success in business development, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems, including outpatient services and physical therapy, ideally in the Central and Western US
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with potential partners and attend industry events (estimated travel requirement: up to 50%).
- Comfortable working remotely and managing a distributed team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel frequently by air, car, or other modes of transportation.
- Ability to work remotely and effectively communicate with team members using virtual collaboration tools.
- Flexibility to work outside of traditional office hours to accommodate meetings and events in different time zones.
