Your Role: Plan and direct selected operational aspects of a distribution center by ensuring a safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the unit. Responsibilities will include process improvement, budgeting, and personnel management as well as the planning and implementation of selected projects to achieve safety, operational and quality goals.
- Annually prepares sales, target, capital, payroll, and expense budgets for selected areas of the distribution center.
- Establishes and maintains operational processes to achieve productivity, quality, and waste objectives.
- Direct training and development activities.
- Conducts performance reviews of direct reports and provides guidance for personal development plans.
- Coordinate selected corporate initiatives.
- Leads continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.
Role Specifics:
- Supervision – Supervise Human Resource Manager, Directors of Warehouse and Transportation, Operations Supervisor, Quality Manager and Maintenance Manager at the facility.
- Travel – Overnight travel and extended stays of 2-5 nights per month for trainings or meetings. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
We Need You To Have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Dot Foods experience.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong personal and group communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a team environment.
We’d Like You To Have:
- Master’s degree.
- Prior distribution experience.
