Position: Director of Business Development
Position Objective:
Strategically develops and implements the Agency’s advertising, marketing, and communications programs to build brand awareness, increase sales, and identify new opportunities in the health care community. The incumbent supports all internal communication initiatives and events.
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
- Implement an Able Health Care Services marketing strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic, and encouraging service/product adoption.
- Create standardized marketing practices and procedures, and specific advertising and Public Relations plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Maintain a solid understanding of the market by monitoring all aspects of the Home Health landscape that will impact the business, and recommending actions and contingency plans to maximize opportunities.
- Plan marketing-related projects and manage external marketing partners and vendors.
- Network on a person-to-person level in the healthcare community to gain and maintain the trust of healthcare professionals.
- Meet with families and individuals who are in need of our services, and facilitate the intake process by learning our client's needs in order to match them with compatible caregivers.
- Work closely with our recruiting, scheduling, and intake departments to provide the best possible caregivers to our clients.
- Communicate all areas of opportunity and communicate with branch offices to assure positive business development outcomes, including troubleshooting referrals, ensuring offices-staff members respond timely to all referral inquiries. Assist with any areas related to ensuring timely acceptance and Start of Care for all new clients that meet the criteria for acceptance.
- Educate managed care organizations, networks, hospitals, and other external referral sources regarding agency programs, products, and services.
- Attend job fairs, trade conferences, and other marketing outreach initiatives for the intent of marketing company services.
- Assist with the development of social media marketing, letter writing campaigns, and proposals.
- Attend meetings with referral sources as approved by the Chief Executive Officer.
- Select promotional items to be used in marketing.
- Review trade newsletters, articles, and other information related to the health care field and be alert to changing conditions and new opportunities.
- Develop promotional materials to support new initiatives, campaigns, and product education.
- Work collaboratively with Contracting and Managed Care teams to identify/execute new business opportunities.
- Other duties as needed.
- Participate in the agency’s Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Program (QAPI).
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business or Public Administration, Marketing, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One-year work experience in supervision/administration, preferably in a community health or home health care setting. Basic knowledge of governmental home health agency regulations, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, Joint Commission Standards, and Performance Improvement standards.
- Proven ability and skill to identify and analyze complex situations and needs and recommend or implement effective courses of action for management.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise reports, policies, and correspondence; ability to interact effectively with many levels of personnel by telephone, in person, and in writing. Skill in resolving conflict situations and in recognizing politically sensitive situations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function.
Pay:
- Pay Range: $80,000 to $120,000
- Leave time includes Paid Time Off, Sick, and paid holidays.
