Job Title: Business Coordination Manager
Job Purpose: This position assists the Business Coordination Director in the daily operations of the Accounting office. Primarily specializes in coordination with corporate partners KPL and Kowa - Japan. Prepares reports for both internal and external use.
Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards:
- Create annual business budgets
- Make improvements to the organization, systems and operations
- Assist the President, and coordinate with the Head Office in Japan in relationship to management policies
- Financial management: Coordinate with the Head Office in Japan concerning capital procurement
- Corporate management: Create a medium-term management plan (five year plan), create annual budget proposal and procedures for approval from the Head Office in Japan
- Provide supervision related to organizational management, put internal controls in place and improve operations.
- Serves as the primary financial liaison with the Head Office in Japan and KPA to ensure a coordinated financial system is accordance with US laws
- Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting
- Ensures proper financial controls are developed and followed
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of two years' experience in a similar position, to include management experience.
- Knowledge of Japanese financial processes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products as well as other accounting-related software.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Other Considerations:
This position is eligible for a remote work schedule governed by Kowa's Remote Work Policy. Remote work is available at the discretion of management and business need. Based on the job description, this position requires occasional in-office work days at the corporate office located in Montgomery, AL.
