Job Title/High Level Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Intelligence and Sales Analytics to lead our efforts in leveraging data-driven insights to drive strategic decision-making and optimize sales performance within our medical device company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of business acumen, analytical expertise, and leadership skills to drive operational excellence and sales effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Intelligence Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business intelligence strategy that aligns with organizational goals and objectives, leveraging data analytics to drive actionable insights and inform strategic initiatives.
- Data Analysis and Visualization: Lead the analysis of sales data, market trends, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth, optimize sales processes, and improve business performance. Develop and implement data visualization tools and dashboards to communicate key metrics and KPIs to stakeholders.
- Sales Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of sales operations, including sales planning, forecasting, territory management, and incentive compensation programs. Collaborate with sales leadership to develop sales strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Performance Metrics and Reporting: Define and track key performance metrics for sales and business operations, developing standardized reports and analytics to monitor performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and product management, to align business intelligence efforts with overall business strategies and drive cross-functional initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the sales organization, identifying opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency gains. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance sales effectiveness and scalability.
- Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing team of business intelligence analysts and sales operations professionals, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to support career growth and talent retention.
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business intelligence, sales operations, or related roles, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated proficiency with data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau) to extract insights from large datasets and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Prior experience leading CRM implementation and optimization projects.
Desired Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree highly preferred.
- Proven track record of driving sales performance improvement and operational excellence through effective sales operations management and business intelligence initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience building and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Advanced level skills with MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, ERP systems, CRM systems, and database extraction skills required. Very strong working knowledge of SQL, Salesforce.com, Cognos, Crystal reports, data warehousing, AlignStar, Tableau, Qlikview are preferred.
- Strong experience working with data extraction tools through ERP platform is required (NetSuite strongly preferred, Oracle, SAP, BaaN, etc.)
