Here at Labster, we are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical Senior FP&A Analyst to join our finance team. The Senior FP&A Analyst will be responsible for assisting with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and excellent communication abilities. Responsibilities
- Acting as a strategic Finance business partner to the leadership team
- Develop, lead, measure and maintain the key KPI’s that drive the most impactful long term business results
- Support functional business reviews by developing fresh insights and more visual displays of financial and operational KPIs, metrics, trends -- and propose solutions to improve results
- Prepare financial analysis and presentations for the senior leadership team
- Manage the annual budget and quarterly forecast process, partnering with the CFO to deliver on financial and operational targets
- Create quarterly cadence around segmented profitability analysis to support the global organization and improve margins
- Work on special projects and provide ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis
- Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
- Develop and maintain financial models for various business units and projects.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.
- Assist in the evaluation of potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Competencies & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Expert financial modeling and analytical skills.
- NetSuite, Excel, and Google Sheets
- A plus if you are highly competent in working with data and programming tools (e.g., Tableau, Python, SQL, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical skills coupled with a solid understanding of business dynamics
- Model creation ability and willingness to demonstrate some past models
- Strong communications skills and ability to work cross-functionally and with the senior leadership team
- Proven track record of delivering on commitments, and working closely & effectively with peers and leaders outside of the Finance team
