The Line of Sight Director is responsible for ensuring the safety and supervision of all youth in care. Their duties include overseeing the daily program schedule for the youth and incorporating access to services related to culture, language, recreation, and vocation.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure all services are provided in a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed manner.
- Oversee the educational programs offered to clients, ensuring that the educational team is providing the required assessment and educational activities.
- Collaborate with Federal Stakeholders to ensure that the program is meeting its contractual requirements and that clients' needs are met.
- Oversee the case management team, ensuring that clients are released from care in a safe and timely manner, receive regular communication with their family members, and regular updates on their case.
- Be directly responsible for overseeing the work of Shift Supervisors.
- Oversee the mental health services team, ensuring mental health staff are conducting required ORR assessments, and providing weekly individual and group sessions to all children.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure the smooth operation of the shelter's mental health, case management, education, and recreation activities.
- Oversee the recreational activities offered to clients, ensuring that they have access to safe and appropriate activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
- Work independently, react to change productively, and handle other essential tasks as assigned while exercising a high level of confidentiality.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social services or related field with four (4) years supervisory experience. OR Master's degree in social services or related field with two (2) years supervisory experience.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) preferred.
- Possess a valid Driver's License.
- Possess a clear Tuberculosis test.
- Ability to successfully clear a background check.
- Ability to successfully clear a drug screening.
- Provide immunization documentation for Tdap, Varicella, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, Varicella.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
