Position Summary:
Are you a dynamic, high-energy leader who thrives in fast-paced environments? As the Sr. Director of Sales Operations, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our success across multiple teams. From Customer Service to Demand and Production Planning, Logistics, and Sales Operations, you'll be the backbone that ensures everything runs smoothly. Your ability to communicate effectively and think on your feet will be key as you collaborate/manage with sales, marketing, operations, shipping, receiving, and logistics teams to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Lead a customer service team to process orders, communicate with buyers, invoice orders, and resolve fulfillment issues.
Production and Logistics:
- Collaborate across departments to streamline systems and processes.
- Support production tasks, including shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and demand planning.
- Oversee the transport of finished goods, managing a logistics team and a fleet of drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
Demand / Production Planning:
- Support key functions in Inventory Management, Forecasting, Product Fulfillment, Collaborative Forecasting, Inter-company Inventory Transferring, and Production Planning.
Commercial Team Support:
- Manage core selling operations, sample fulfillment, new item setup, and forecasting.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- 5-10 years of experience in sales, sales operations, and customer service management.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability and experience in fast-growth environments, ideally within a startup.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships at all levels.
- High level of critical thinking, professionalism, and integrity, especially with confidential information.
- Experience managing perishable products and cold chain logistics.
- Expertise in managing in-house drivers, third-party trucking, and negotiating pricing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience with NetSuite.
- Background in logistics, inventory planning, shipping, and receiving.
- Familiarity with the produce industry, particularly packaged salads.
