NOTICE OF POSITION
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Eric Jay Rosser, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:
PROJECT DIRECTOR for the DEPARTMENT OF COLLEGE READINESS AND WORKFORCE EDUCATION/SS-ECHS LIAISON*
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possession of a Master’s degree in Education or a related area and three years of post-graduate experience in the administration or management of a large state-funded program; OR
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s degree PLUS five years of experience as in “A” above; OR
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.

Under the direction of the Director of College Readiness and Workforce Education, the Project Director will assist the Director of College Readiness and Workforce Education with supporting the Career Pathways Initiative.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as the Liaison for all aspects of the Smart Scholars-Early College-High School grant (coordination, recruitment, outreach and accountability reporting);
- Supports the coordination of guest speakers, field trips and industry tours for the purpose of college and career exploration;
- Develops, maintains, and joins industrial communities to bridge industry support to educational pathways, including participation in special events;
- Creates and presents information on Career Pathways for students and parents;
- Supports career fairs and/or career presentations to disseminate information on the SS-ECHS Programming and Career Pathways information;
- Maintains the school community informed on Career Pathway by updating the monthly CCR news brief;
- Supports staff in connecting with industry partners to update and enhance their trade content;
- Identifies and facilitates workshops on inclusive practices to support all students in being successful in the SS-ECHS Program;
- Facilitates tours of the program, as requested;
- Participates as a member if advisory boards (e.g. Transformation Taskforce; Trade and Community Advisory Boards), as requested;
- Obtains a thorough understanding of the Smart Scholars-ECHS RFP Grant;
- Collects all data needed for yearly SS-ECHS grant accountability reporting and ensures reports are submitted within the required timelines;
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable district policies, practices and procedures;
- Comprehensive knowledge of career and technical education programming processes and best practices;
- Organizes multiple events for students related to career awareness and workforce opportunities;
- Proficient in Google Suite platforms and other online career and tech platforms (e.g. schoolinks, Pathful);
- Support the implementation, evaluation and progress monitoring of Career Pathways programming;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, advisory boards, businesses, industrial personnel and leaders, district staff, building principals, parents and staff, non-member district staff, and the general public;
- Disseminates effective practices for streamlining and improving processes for recognizing prior learning and work experience and awarding credits or advanced placement towards Career Pathways;
- Maintains records and verifies all work-based learning hours;
- Maintains, tracks, and supports the completion of student’s employability profiles;
- Coordinates, manages and supports industry and in-district internships and mentoring opportunities;
- Other duties as requested by the Director of College Readiness and Workforce Education.
APPOINTMENT: Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be conducted where appropriate.

SALARY: $90,000-$100,000
