Duties and Responsibilities- Develops and executes a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion within the self-insured employer market.
- Conducts thorough market research to identify potential self-insured employer groups and organizations.
- Develops and maintains a robust pipeline of opportunities in self-insured employer market through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking.
- Conducts in-depth needs assessments to understand the specific requirements and challenges of self-insured clients.
- Cultivates and nurtures relationships with key stakeholders, including executives and influencers.
- Analyzes business development industry trends in self-insured employer market, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform business development strategies.
- Leads the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and closing deals.
- Creates and delivers customized presentations and proposals for self-insured prospects while presenting the organization's products or services in a compelling manner, emphasizing unique value propositions.
- Collaborates with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet the unique needs of self-insured groups and ensure a seamless transition from lead generation to conversion.
- Provides valuable insights and feedback to enhance the effectiveness of sales strategies.
- Acts as a liaison between the sales and marketing teams, sharing market insights and customer feedback.
- Ensures alignment between marketing efforts and sales objectives.
- Adapts strategies and approaches based on market dynamics and organizational goals.
- Tracks and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development efforts.

- Defines and monitors KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness and performance of direct reports. Provides constructive feedback, as necessary.
- Manages the hiring process including interviewing, training, and onboarding new employees.

The employee is frequently required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable, for business purposes. A large amount of this travel involves driving a company vehicle. The employee must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
Knowledge and Skills- Understanding of self-insured pharmacy benefits, including pharmacy benefit management, specialty pharmacy, and related services.
- Proficient in financial analysis and establishing sales and marketing budgets and action plans.
- Proficient in Salesforce software applications including Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Health Cloud, and related applications.
- Aptitude for medical/pharmaceutical terminology.

Experience and Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales with emphasis on business development, field sales, and national/large customer relationships.
- 5+ years serving in Director level or above sales leadership position(s) required.
- 7-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales required.
- Previous experience in 503A or 503B compounding specialty pharmaceuticals, or Men's Health, Women’s Health, Telehealth, Weight-Management, Age-Management or Reproductive Medicine highly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
