As the Vice President of Government Affairs & Industry at Signature Aviation, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's relationships with industry stakeholders and government entities. You will lead strategic initiatives to advance Signature Aviation's interests in the aviation sector, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fostering positive relationships with key government officials and industry partners. Preferred Locations: Washington, D.C., Orlando, or any East Coast time zone.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or related fields, with a proven track record of success in advocacy and relationship-building.
Additional knowledge and skills:
- Experience in the aviation industry strongly preferred, but will also consider candidates with other infrastructure experience. .
- Relationships with local government officials in major metropolitan areas.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex policy issues into actionable strategies and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and a collaborative mindset, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.

Responsibilities
Government Relations:
- Develop and implement strategies to engage with government agencies and officials especially at the local, but also the state, national and international, levels.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting the aviation industry and advise senior leadership on potential impacts and opportunities.
- Effectively advocate for policies that support Signature Aviation's business objectives while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Industry Engagement:
- Cultivate relationships with industry associations, trade groups, and other stakeholders to promote Signature Aviation's interests and enhance the company's reputation within the aviation community.
- Represent Signature Aviation at industry events, conferences, and forums to stay informed about industry trends and developments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for partnerships and collaboration within the aviation ecosystem.
Strategic Planning:
- Work closely with senior leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive government affairs strategy aligned with Signature Aviation's overall business goals.
- Provide strategic guidance on public policy issues and regulatory matters, helping to shape the company's long-term strategy and positioning in the marketplace.
- Conduct risk assessments and advise on potential legal and regulatory challenges, ensuring proactive measures are in place to mitigate risks.
Communication and Advocacy:
- Serve as a spokesperson for Signature Aviation on government affairs matters, effectively communicating the company's positions and priorities to external audiences.
- Develop persuasive advocacy materials, including policy briefs, white papers, and presentations, to support lobbying efforts and public outreach campaigns.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to ensure consistency of messaging and alignment with overall brand objectives.
