Job Purpose:
The Business Development Director will have the responsibility of representing the Company to direct selected tier 1 customers in the U.S. territory.
Nature of Duties:
The BD Director will assist in the development and support of all Company sales programs within the selected customers in the assigned territory and support the Company in all aspects of customer care. This person is accountable for developing new customer relationships while maintaining the existing customer base. The BD Director will prepare penetration plans for major accounts and process requests for quotes and order submission. The BD Director will work directly with the sales team and other members of the company to maximize revenue and strategic value. This person will also generate reports to management on opportunities/challenges while developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of customer application requirements for Viking Technology DRAM and Flash and NVDIMM products. The BDM will act as liaison between customer and factory on all commercial issues and provide management and direction to manufacturers' reps as required.
Education and Experience:
- 15+ years direct sales experience; specific experience in Memory and Processor Products.
- Active knowledge in the storage and semiconductor market space.
- OEM experience.
- Knowledge of SSD, Flash, DRAM technology.
- Ability to communicate technically on product related issues.
- Previous proven track record of incremental sales increases.
- Ability to manage multiple customers, programs, and projects.
- Tier 1 account experience preferred.
- BS Degree preferred.
- PC proficient in Windows environment.
