ADP is hiring a Senior Director of Finance - Client Based Acquisition (CBA)
In this critical role, the Senior Director of Finance will provide financial and strategic decision support to the Client Based Acquisition Team to ensure achievement of short and long-term financial goals. Partnering with Sales, Legal, Accounting and Business Unit Finance Leadership team, the Senior Director facilitates the understanding of key business dynamics of each acquisition deal through contract support, payment calculations, processing, assisting in the due diligence process and financial modeling of acquisitions.
Driving financial best practices, the Senior Director will optimize financial opportunities regarding revenue enhancement and expense management throughout the organization. In addition, the Senior Director acts as a support function for the operating plan, forecast process, and management reporting as it relates to amortization expense related to the acquisition. In part, quarterly impairment testing is performed, and reviewed with corporate team.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall oversight and management of CBA program deliverables, supporting the CBA team through the process of acquiring a client list from sellers and fulfilling subsequent contract obligations and payments.
- Client Based Acquisition Analysis: Analyze data to compare expected profitability per the valuation vs the actual profitability.
- Client Revenue Tracking: Understands the contract terms and revenue sources to monitor activities and identify issues. Leverages tools to reconcile expected revenue against actual revenue billed.
- Utilizes data infrastructure by extracting, aggregating, and dissecting billing data vs the contractual obligations.
- Prepare payment files to be reviewed with the Sales team and the Seller and put together the payment files to be paid by Accounts payable.
- Business Partnering: Partners with Key Stakeholders and Business Partners to drive effective solutions/execution. Constructively communicates based on facts and data.
- Effectively and accurately respond to questions from the Seller and Sales team on a timely basis.
- Business Analysis: Provides financial analysis, modeling on CBA to drive growth and margin improvements. Maintains an awareness of general economic, competitive, business and financial conditions and communicates impact on business operations to key stakeholders. Additionally, responsible for continuous process improvements such as automation and leveraging technology.
- Operating Planning and Forecasting: Creates annual operating plan assumptions for CBA Amortization Expense that is aligned to the strategic plan and performs forecasting to provide visibility into business results to enable business decisions. Provides consultative input or business analyses to support operating planning and forecasting.
- Financial Operational Policy: Establishes and maintains consistent financial operational policies and procedures as it relates to CBAs in various business units; recommends modifications as needed, including ensuring all matters relating to SOX / Compliance are met and adequate control environment is in place to mitigate financial and business risks in collaboration with process owners.
- Talent Development and Management: Deliberately builds capability, sets direction, goals and expectations about performance, holds associates accountable for development and provides appropriate feedback. Coaches and develops associates, builds diverse team and encourages innovative thinking to identify broad growth opportunities. Delegates responsibilities to associates, both to deliver on commitments and to continuously build team members' capabilities.
Qualifications:
- BS - Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
- 10+ Years of Finance Experience including 5+ Years People Leadership (direct or indirect).
- MBA Finance or MS in Business Analytics or similar degree.
- Systems/Applications: Hyperion Essbase, Excel, Tableau experience.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Technical Acumen: Has solid desktop application skills, specifically strong excel skills including the ability to create basic macros; some familiarity with Hyperion /Tableau is preferred.
