Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Garage Door Tech - Lead Installer to join our team in North Bay, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garage door installation and in-home sales, demonstrating excellence in both technical and customer service skills. This position requires a hands-on leader who can oversee installation projects, provide top-notch customer service, and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial garage doors and openers.
- Conduct in-home sales consultations, providing customers with product knowledge, pricing, and recommendations to meet their needs.
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior technicians and installers, ensuring adherence to company standards and safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with garage doors and openers efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, sales, and customer interactions.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage inventory and order necessary parts and supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, products, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in garage door installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Proven experience in in-home sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
