Director Of Pharmacy
Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy to lead and manage our pharmacy services, aligning with our mission to provide quality care with compassion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Oversee and direct the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring that services are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory standards. Develop and implement innovative pharmacy programs that enhance patient care and integrate seamlessly with other departments.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements, including standards set by the FDA, DEA, and the Joint Commission. Develop departmental policies to ensure compliance and promote a culture of safety and excellence.
- Operational Excellence: Manage the procurement, storage, preparation, dispensing, and control of medications, including controlled substances. Maintain effective charge capture and billing systems and develop operating budgets that ensure quality services while optimizing cost-effectiveness.
- Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with hospital leadership, including the Vice President of Patient Care and the Drugs, Nutrition, and Therapeutics (DNT) Committee, to set and achieve both short-term and long-term goals. Serve as a key member of the multidisciplinary team to promote a comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Professional Development: Foster a positive, growth-oriented environment for pharmacy staff. Provide ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the pharmacy team.
- Patient-Centered Care: Function as a registered pharmacist to provide clinical and distributive services. Engage in continuous performance improvement initiatives to elevate the standard of patient care.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist with a preference for candidates who have completed a pharmacy residency program and hold an advanced degree (M.S., M.B.A., or Ph.D.).
- Demonstrated management experience in a healthcare or hospital environment. 3 or more years as a leader in pharmacy.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to build trust, establish credibility, and drive positive change.
- Exceptional organizational skills and adaptability to navigate a dynamic healthcare setting.
