Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Staff Professional Environmental Management Practitioner to be based in our Washington, D.C office. You will apply your knowledge and experience of due diligence consulting services related to mergers, acquisitions and divestments, while also learning and expanding the business skills needed for a successful consulting career.
You will be developing and supporting national and international clients across a wide range of sectors including energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, legal, insurance and real estate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities for this position include:
- Providing multi-media environmental compliance services, such as compliance assessments and audits.
- Supporting projects involving due diligence with substantial historical research including ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
- Contributing to the preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
- Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
- Developing task, project, and client management skills.
Education and Licensure
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, earth science (geology or hydrology), environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, or a related field of study (required)
- Advanced degree in a related field of study (desirable but not essential)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience working in a consulting environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
- Experience performing due diligence services related to mergers, acquisitions & divestments for the industrial, financial, legal and real estate sectors (required)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed (required)
- Excellent writing and communication skills (required)
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (required)
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred)
- Field work and overnight travel may be required.
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.
- Minimum Salary: $65,995/year / Maximum Salary: $99,700/year (Washington, D.C)
