The Anesthesia Division of the Minneapolis VA Health Care System is seeking a dynamic and experienced Physician - Anesthesiologist who is Board Certified/Board Eligible to join an expanding clinical practice with a close academic affiliation with the University of Minnesota including Department of Anesthesiology Residency and the School of Nurse Anesthesia.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical and on-call coverage
- Supervision and training of anesthesia residents
- Supervision of nurse anesthetists and student nurse anesthetists
- Teaching
Basic Requirements:
- United States Citizenship
- Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Completed residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
Preferred Experience:
- Board Certified/Eligible Anesthesiology experience teaching residents
- Eligibility for an academic appointment with the University of Minnesota
