What You’ll Be Doing
As a member of the Mid-Market Solutions Group, you’ll work in a fast-paced organization where you’ll make a meaningful difference in our clients’ lives. This Executive Director position is dedicated to cross asset coverage of CIBC clients in the South East region of the United States. Under the guidance of the business leader out of Chicago, he/she will be responsible for client and banker coverage. There will be an assigned client portfolio and require the pricing and execution of trades. It will also include serving as a productive team member and helping as a backup for others.
You’re flexible to work hours as needed to help deliver a great client experience, which may include evenings and weekends. How You’ll Succeed
Main Objectives
- Execute the sales function, ensuring that all transactions are executed in accordance with established risk management strategies and risk parameters.
- Contribute to the team-orientated culture.
- Enhance the ability to monitor, scrutinize, measure, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure adherence to policy.
- Keep up to date with market trends.
- Champion CIBC values, and provide support in a manner consistent with the highest quality standards and CIBC objectives.
- Partner with trading, risk, origination, and structuring teams across the firm to enhance CIBC’s functional capabilities.
Within US Mid-Market Solutions Group
- Work closely with Commercial Banking to identify new clients & opportunities.
- Actively promote/market new concepts, products, and services.
- Act as an information source on regulations, processes, and procedures to other areas of CIBC and provide value-added consulting.
- Ensure that recommendations and opinions offered to clients are in compliance with legislation and policies of CIBC.

- Teamwork – work within the sales/trading organization.
- Business unit must achieve annual revenue / notional targets in an extremely competitive environment.
- Developing productive relationships with “clients”, both internal and external.
- Maximizing new business opportunities, which requires a quick response to changing priorities and information.
- Developing and maintaining current knowledge in one’s product area.
- University degree in Business/Economics (or equivalent).

- Speaking up if witnessing behaviors that drive poor or unfair outcomes for clients, team members, or other stakeholders.
- Escalating matters that can result in adverse market practices and outcomes, thereby negatively impacting CIBC’s reputation as a leading financial institution.
