Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 base salary with a total compensation range of $160,000 - $220,000 with the accomplishment of sales targets and commissions.
Shift: Monday - Friday - 8:00 am – 4:30 pm - On-site
Role Description
We have an exceptional opportunity within our Sales group for a Director of Sales and Marketing position. This pivotal position drives the company's revenue growth and market expansion. The director of sales and marketing will be responsible for crafting innovative sales strategies, fostering durable customer relationships, and guiding a dynamic sales team to meet and surpass sales targets. The role demands a proactive and skillful approach to sales forecasting, performance management, contract negotiation, and collaboration with various departments, ensuring high customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Operations, you will oversee a diverse team of account executives.

Key Accountabilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the company's customer base and ensure its strong presence in the market.
- Reporting: Provide timely and detailed reports on sales performance and other metrics for the executive team and assist in the reporting package.
- Sales Management: Oversee the sales team, setting objectives and monitoring performance to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities and areas for potential growth.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain long-lasting customer relationships, negotiating contracts and closing agreements to maximize profits.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Operations and Planning, to align sales strategies with business goals and proactively manage potential risks.
- Financial Planning: Forecast sales projections and contribute to the company's financial planning process.
- Marketing: Develop and implement brand strategies, oversee marketing functions and plans, and conduct competitor research.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of company products and services to effectively communicate all offerings to customers.
- Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop sales team members, fostering an environment that encourages continuous improvement and success.
- Operational Efficiency: Leverage the Company’s information systems platforms to streamline sales processes and track customer engagements effectively. Identify new technologies or improvements to streamline the sales process and customer engagement.
- Industry Expertise: Stay current with competitors, new product launches, changes in the competitive landscape, and the company's impact or opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure industry regulations and company policies are followed throughout all sales operations.
Professional Requirements and Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in sales, particularly in the medical or healthcare industry or related manufacturing sectors. This includes a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, managing a diverse portfolio of product offerings and sales channels in conjunction with successfully managing a sales team.
- Strong leadership capabilities to build, mentor, and guide a high-performing sales team.
- Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with the company's goals and market trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel, as the role may require visiting clients, attending trade shows, and overseeing sales operations across different regions.
- Familiarity with CRM, Microsoft Dynamics, and/or Power BI software and other sales management tools to track sales metrics and customer engagement.
