- Deep understanding of macroeconomics and market data and ability to timely translate these insights to investment views.
- Significant experience investing, researching, and trading various MBS securities such as pass-thrus, specified pools, and CMOs.
- Experience with mortgage-specific analytics packages such as Yield Book and Bloomberg.
- Knowledge of interest rate and prepayment modeling fundamentals.
- Communicate strategy and mortgage market-specific developments to the broader Global Treasury team.
- Work with the Global Rates and Global Credit teams to coordinate investment decisions and execution of investment decisions across sectors.
- Ensure investments are in line with volumes and metrics specified within the sector’s investment strategy.
- Prepare reports on strategy, market developments, and portfolio risk exposures to communicate with Senior management and other stakeholders.
- Responsible for monitoring portfolio positions and recommending strategic changes in line with market movements.
- Excellent analytical skills and innovative, solution-oriented mindset.
- Team player willing to work with global teams across time zones.
- Experience managing a small team.

- Deep knowledge of the US mortgage-backed security market with 10+ years track record as an investor.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Previous relevant investment/market-maker experience at a bank portfolio or asset manager of fixed income instruments, specifically US Agency RMBS/CMBS.
- Highly collaborative individual with strong communication/presentation skills.
- Experience with database and programming languages such as Python, R, and Tableau is useful.
- Knowledge and experience of portfolio optimization in light of the entire balance sheet’s duration and interest rate sensitivity would be a positive.
