Are you ready to take the reins as a pivotal leader within our esteemed credit union? We're excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a forward-thinking and strategic Senior Vice President of Lending (SVPL). Reporting directly to the President/CEO, you'll be instrumental in driving the success and growth of our lending business across consumer, indirect, and residential sectors.
Main Responsibilities Include:
- Successfully lead the consumer and residential lending operations including, but not limited to, budget planning, risk management, and asset liability.
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for consumer and residential lending operations in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive market share growth and achieve loan production goals.
- Lead the evaluation, implementation, and enhancement of loan origination systems and technology solutions.
- Assist in long-term planning for the Mortgage and Consumer Lending departments, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
- Develop lending policies and procedures that reflect industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute operational goals and initiatives.
- Monitor economic indicators to assess potential impacts on loan portfolios and mitigate risks.
- Lead the lending team in evaluating loan applications, assessing credit risk, and maintaining sound underwriting practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the lending department, providing mentorship and development opportunities to team members.
At a Minimum, We’d like you to have:
- Credit Union Experience!
- 7 years of progressive lending management experience in a credit union.
- 10 years' experience as a loan officer, with 5 years serving in a senior leadership capacity.
- BS Degree, advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful lending strategies in a dynamic and competitive market environment.
- Experience in Mortgage Lending Management, Consumer and Card Lending, Business/Commercial Lending, Sales, or Marketing is a plus.
