Castleton Commodities International is hiring an EMA Manager role for our US Physical Power business in our Stamford, CT office. This role will play a pivotal role in the business, performing commercial functions around providing energy management services to internal and external clients of CCI. These energy management services focus on the management of generators in the eastern ISO’s of the US. This role will report to the Lead Energy Management role within the US Physical Power business.
Responsibilities
Ongoing responsibilities include:
- Perform day to day energy management activities. This includes bidding and scheduling of generating units, coordination with fuel suppliers, communications with internal and external stakeholders, as well as related activities. (50%)
- Management of energy management staff, including management of off hours responsibilities (20%).
- Secondary relationship manager for energy management customers. (20%)
- Origination and Business development for new and existing client opportunities (10%).
Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of ISO rules and regulations, with a focus on NYISO, PJM, ISONE and other eastern markets.
- Strong understanding of the energy management marketplace and the needs of generators.
- 7+ years of relevant experience with some prior exposure to the energy/commodities industry.
- Proficiency in ETRM systems (ideally CXL), Bid-to-Bill systems is required. Exposure to other energy related data systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational/time management skills with an ability to multi-task and adhere to tight deadlines.
- Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively.
- Proficiency in VBA, Excel.
- Ability to participate in weekend and off-hour on call rotations as required.
