You will be part of a team working in the field of robotics and automation. You will deliver creative solutions to aerospace's toughest problems.
Your working environment:
Mukilteo is a waterfront community situated on Puget Sound, about 25 miles north of Seattle. This scenic area has views of the Olympic Mountains and Northern Cascade Mountains, hiking trails, generous beaches and parks, and tight-knit community involvement. We design, manufacture, and deploy innovative automation solutions that allow Airbus aircraft to be produced on time, on quality and on budget.
Your challenges:
- Develop medium and high-level software in a mixed computing environment with an emphasis on three arenas: 1) embedded Linux supervisory software, 2) security and access control, and 3) data management.
- Improve existing software based on requirements and requests from customers and colleagues.
- Assist in the design process of new systems and architectures and inform the development of better programming practices and procedures.
- Provide technical support in subject matters concerning performance, installation, maintenance, system testing, and documentation of software and hardware.
- Perform hands-on work as needed.
- Develop, plan, and execute projects and lead one or more engineers technically. Guide and train other members of the project team. Assist in the career development of one or more junior engineers.
Your boarding pass:
- Seven or more years of experience with a Bachelor's degree. Five or more years of experience with a Master's Degree. Three or more years of experience with a PhD.
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
- The ability to work independently to achieve required goals with minimal oversight and provide accurate estimates of work effort to accomplish a well-defined task.
- Embedded developers: proficiency in programming in C/C++. Experience programming with JavaScript and .NET C# is also desired.
- Serenity developers: comfort programming in JavaScript. Experience programming with Typescript, Json, React and Node is also desired.
- Working knowledge of the following platforms: Windows 7/10 desktop and Linux embedded products.
- Experience in some or all of the following protocols: REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, Websockets, CAN, I2C, SPI, RS-232, RS-485.
- Proficient in reading/interpreting JSON and XML.
