Trade Fund Management Analyst

The Trade Fund Management Analyst will be responsible for managing and resolving retail customer deductions and checks, working collaboratively with various teams, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of trade claims and financial documentation. This role requires an in-depth understanding of trade processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
THE ROLE
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with retail customers, sales, and sales finance teams to facilitate efficient deduction and check resolution.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively and proactively with multi-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Trade Claim Research: Investigate all customer trade claims, obtain supportive and/or additional documentation as necessary.
- Claim Processing: Review and process claims (markdowns, damages, trade, A&CP, etc.) in the Infotracs funding system in a timely manner.
- Trade Process Understanding: Possess a comprehensive understanding of trade processes, including deductions, settlements, trade check requests, trade accruals, and trade finance (interfaces, reporting, etc.).
- Communication: Handle sales calls as needed to collaborate on issues.
- Reporting and Reconciliation: Ensure daily/weekly/monthly and quarterly reporting and reconciliations are completed timely, accurately, discrepancies are rectified promptly, and KPI metrics are met.
- Compliance: Abide by control standards, SOX controls, and compliance requirements on both transactional and operational levels.
- Workload Prioritization: Effectively prioritize daily workload to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Special Projects: Participate in special projects and other assignments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
We'd love to see candidates who have:
Essential:
- Education: Associate degree in accounting, finance, or similar.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in AR/Deductions Management.
- Initiative and Drive: Demonstrated exceptional initiative, drive, customer knowledge, and focus.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to deal with diverse levels of financial and operating personnel in a multi-national organization and multiple 3rd party external organizations.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial performance and obtain valid explanations for variances.
- Independence: Ability to work independently under general direction and develop creative solutions to problems.
- Deadline Oriented: Ability to meet deadlines and adapt easily to changes.
- Detail Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
- Computer Skills: Strong skills in MS Excel and Word.
- Communication and Organization: Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and teamwork ethics.
- Process Focused: Process-focused to ensure compliance and assertiveness for escalation resolution.
Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or similar preferred.
- Knowledge of Trade Fund Management Programs and SAP experience is preferred.
