We’re seeking a Senior Event Production Manager to join our Operations team at our 225 Liberty Plaza location. The Senior Event Production Manager will report directly to the General Manager.
What You’ll Do:
The Senior Event Production Manager will produce large scale complex events for Hall properties, as well as support the other Event Production Managers in the organization providing guidance, support, and coaching to achieve exceptional results. The Senior Event Production Manager will act as the primary point of contact for the client during the planning process while also liaising with our on-site event, technology, and control room teams to ensure a seamless meeting event experience from start to finish.
As the Senior Event Production Manager, you will:
- Plan and oversee meetings programs across our physical and hybrid products.
- Oversight and management of other NY Event Production Managers.
- Provide Day-to-day Training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management for direct reports.
- Monitor & review contributions and areas for growth through weekly one-on-ones and annual performance reviews.
- Create, implement, maintain, and enforce organizational policies & standard operating procedures.
- Serve as a point of escalation for internal and external issue resolution related to planning.
- Support the interview, hire and onboard process for new employees.
- Cultivate relationships with strategic partners in the Sales, AV, Operations, Culinary, Marketing, and Finance departments.
- Represent your team in cross functional meetings & decision-making.
- Effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of associates, clients, and all Convene departments in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Effectively listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by associates and clients.
- Develop event timelines and communicate any and all pre-production deadlines.
- Schedule and host kick-off call with client.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client leading up to day-of event
- Prepare and distribute all room diagrams
- Work closely with culinary and service team to finalize menus and timing
- Partner closely with our AV Production to plan the client’s run of show and vision for physical and hybrid events as needed.
- Create and maintain detailed event documentation for each booking
- Responsible for the creation of PEO’s (Program Execution Orders), program diagrams, and invoices.
- Conduct weekly event meeting and regular PEO meetings
- Conduct pre-event and post-event debriefs for our internal stakeholders.
- Follow up with the client with any post-event deliverables.
- Provide status updates to internal and external stakeholders on pre-production milestones to ensure successful delivery on the day of the event.
- Ensure collection of all program balances.
What We Look For:
- Prior experience in event planning and project management
- Comfort using web based collaboration tools including, but not limited to Slack, Salesforce, SmartSheets, Google Suite
- Familiarity with SaaS, event platform/video/web conferencing
- Strong business acumen and staying cool under pressure
- Natural problem solver, obsessed with finding appropriate solutions to meet customer needs
- Able to multitask, and obsessed with customer satisfaction

Base Salary:
Salary Range: $78,000 to $85,000
This role is also eligible for Convene's annual incentive performance bonus plan.
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
