Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director of Law School Technology reports to the Law School Associate Dean for Administration and is responsible for providing leadership and strategic vision in managing the Law School’s information technology. The Director ensures that the Law School Computing Services (LSCS) team delivers efficient and effective technical support services to Law School students, staff, and faculty.
- Leads the Law Technology team with planning, development, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Law school desktop and server hardware and software systems.
- Oversees the Law Technology team who provide user support processing day to day service requests and technology support for Law students, staff, and faculty.
- Provides leadership for planning, researching, and evaluating new technology, budgeting, and implementing Law School information technology resources.
- Manages activities related to the Law Laptop Final Exam process and collaborates with the Law School administration to develop and implement exam-related policies and procedures.
- Oversees the Law Technology team with development, implementation, upgrades, maintenance, and user support and training for the Law School’s AV systems.
- Conducts regular technology audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Leads and facilitates technology training sessions and workshops for Law School faculty, staff, and students.
- Responsible for managing the Law Technology budget and approving all Law technology purchases.
- Ensures compliance with the University’s policies related to data management and cybersecurity.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. Knowledge and skills developed through 7+ years of experience managing an IT department or work experience in a related job discipline. 5+ years of technical hands-on experience and skills installing, configuring, and troubleshooting IT and AV hardware and software systems.

- Experience with hardware and software systems, security, networks, and systems administration.
- Ability to communicate across all levels, from technical team to members of the leadership team.
Certificates/Credentials/Licenses: Experience with TCP/IP networking and ability to maintain and troubleshoot network hardware, software, and peripherals.
