The Associate Director, Business Development (BD) Analytics, is a leadership role responsible for overseeing a dynamic team focused on providing data, analyses, and reports to internal clients in two primary areas: (internal) BD Performance Analysis and Reporting, and (external) Market Analysis. They are expected to have a strategic mindset, with the ability to influence decision-making and drive a culture of analytics throughout the organization. They should be capable of articulating the value of data insights to executives and non-technical audiences.
BD Performance Analysis and Reporting
Effective management, monitoring, and reporting of key BD metrics (e.g., for Board of Directors reports, Leadership Business Dashboard).
Oversee assessment and sharing/learning of strengths and weaknesses of bid submissions, in consultation with proposal teams and other related staff.
Other analyses as required (e.g., ROI).
Market Analysis
Perform in-depth market analyses and competitor assessments, conducting desk and other research to provide BD and relevant staff with data and information on funder forecasts (Congressional Budget Journal reports, USAID forecasts, and other relevant funder forecasts), market trends, business intelligence, and competitor analyses.
Conduct analyses on proposed legislation that could impact FHI 360 segments.
Conduct other analyses as required to support decisions on pipeline and proposals/bids.
BD Systems Services
On-time support to pipeline management, data management, and development account allocations.
Provide effective oversight and/or collaboration for the management, maintenance, and interoperability of key BD-related systems, including Salesforce, Vine, GovTribe, GovIQ, Devex.
Manage tools such as Salesforce dashboard and reports, Daily Digest, Pipeline builder, and Competitors in the News.
Offer Salesforce support to Bid Board, including conducting data quality reviews.
Provide other support to maintain BD systems and tools, as needed.

Be familiar with FHI 360's strategic ambitions in all technical (program, research, advocacy) and geographic areas.
Collaboration & Interaction:
Liaise with the Vice President of Business Development and Partnerships for reporting on performance (e.g., quarterly Board of Directors meetings) and with the Vice President of Business Development and Partnerships for Leadership Business Dashboard.
Collaborate with technical and program leaders on strategic and geographic priorities for market analytics.
Link with owners of Costpoint, Vine, and other related tools and systems for effective tools and systems management.
Must work effectively with cross-functional teams, including ISS, Finance, and Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge & Skills:
Prior work in a non-governmental organization (NGO) or with an international organization.
Possesses a full understanding of the organizational structure, policies and practices, and the impact on own area and the entire organization.
Proven ability to ensure that budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met.
Excellent and demonstrated leadership skills.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated business acumen and industry knowledge.
Communication and storytelling with data are indispensable skills, including proficiency with data visualization tools.
Microsoft Office and Salesforce skills and experience required.
Experience with a broad range of tools and software such as Power BI, Vine, Costpoint, and related tools preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills in English.
Minimum Qualifications:
***Master's Degree or its International Equivalent in Civil Society, Communication and Social Marketing, Economic Development, Education, the Environment, Gender, Health, Nutrition, Research, Technology and Youth or a Related Fields.
Project Management (PM) Certification preferred.
Typically requires 10+ years of relevant technical/project management experience in a specialized technical, product and/or service area (including 3+ years of leadership and line management skills).
Experience working in a non-governmental organization (NGO).
***Relevant degree or its international equivalent, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience to perform job responsibilities effectively.
Certifications:
Power BI certification preferred.
Other data analytics certificates/certifications beneficial.
TRAVEL
Depending on where the person is located, travel to or between WDC and Durham may be needed.
No international travel envisioned.

US Based Hiring Salary Range: $103,000 - $130,000
International hiring ranges will differ based on location.
