We are looking for
Plant Manager / Managing Director Automotive (m/f/d) for our location in Nicaragua
at our location in Nicaragua (Managua)
Your tasks:
As part of our expansion, we are looking for an experienced Plant Manager / Managing Director to set up and manage a new plant in Managua, Nicaragua.
- Development and management of the plant: Responsibility for the complete development of a new production plant for the manufacture of cable and sensor systems for the automotive industry in Managua.
- Strategic orientation: Development and implementation of the corporate strategy at local level, taking into account global and regional objectives.
- Production management: Ensuring an efficient and high-quality production process using lean manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and state-of-the-art technologies.
- Team building and management: Recruiting, training and managing a qualified team characterized by motivation and technical expertise.
- Quality and process optimization: Implementation and continuous improvement of quality management systems (TQM) to achieve the highest standards and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Budget and cost management: Preparation and monitoring of the annual budget, with a focus on cost control and maximizing efficiency.
- Customer and supplier relationships: Building and maintaining strong partnerships with customers, suppliers and local authorities to ensure long-term business success.
- ESG compliance and sustainability: Implementing measures to comply with ESG guidelines and reduce carbon footprint.

Your profile:
- Successfully completed studies in engineering, business administration or a comparable qualification
- More than 10 years of experience in managing a factory in the automotive sector with more than 500 employees
- Experience in setting up a production plant in the automotive sector from scratch is a big advantage
- Strong knowledge in the areas of production management, lean manufacturing and quality management
- Ideally knowledge of Nicaraguan labor, foreign trade, tax and occupational health and safety law
- Experience in dealing with international customers and suppliers as well as in negotiating with authorities and decision-makers
- High degree of initiative, hands-on mentality and strong problem-solving skills
- Business fluent in English and Spanish
- Willingness to work in Nicaragua on a long-term basis and work closely with regional and global management
