Nurse Practitioner - Acute Cardiac Care Unit (ACCU), Cardiac Medical Advanced Practice Clinician Team (NIGHTS)
This Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:
- Caring for inpatient pediatric and adult patients with cardiac medical issues including congenital heart disease, arrhythmia, heart failure, and pre and post heart transplant management.
- Caring for cardiology patients admitted to the Cardiology service for management of non-cardiac medical issues.
- Coordination of care for management of acute and chronic medical issues.
- Collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team and consulting services to provide comprehensive care for optimal patient outcomes.
- Coordination of complex discharge planning needs.
- Working collaboratively in a family-centered environment.
- Working 36 or 40 hours/week, 12 hour shifts, permanent nights 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every 3rd weekend.
To qualify, you must have:
- A Master of Science in Nursing and Licensed Nurse Practitioner (PNP or FNP).
- 1+ years of current Nurse Practitioner experience preferred.
- Will consider new graduate Nurse Practitioners with 2+ years inpatient RN experience - preferably in pediatric, cardiac or higher level of care (ICU/ICP/ED).
