- At peak times Westbury is consuming 5% of the UK’s milk - that’s the milk from every 1 cow in 20 from the whole of the UK
- Milk powder and butter from Westbury are exported all over the world - you will also eat Westbury Powder within several brand name confectionaries and desserts
What the role entails
- Supervise a team of Maintenance engineers
- Support a well-invested, fast-paced food manufacturing site with critical line maintenance by carrying out reactive, proactive, and servicing activities
- Utilizes CMMS systems and reporting suites.
- Drive projects including non-capex modifications, capex, and continuous improvement including throughput and OEE initiatives.
Equipment includes - Milk pasteurisation, homogenisers, separators process systems, fillers, cartoners, cappers, packers, weighers, flow wrappers, shrink wrappers, trolley packers, palletisers, de-palletisers, conveyor lines (chain, spiral), robots (Kuka), vision systems, Spectrum TX rejection system, X-ray checkers, industrial dryers, refrigerated rooms, steam generators, water softeners, cooling towers, CHP system, Air handling units, HVAC, water treatment, steam boilers, chillers, compressors.
The person
- Ambition & drive
- Experience as a multiskilled engineer (shift engineer/ maintenance engineer/ engineering technician) and the likes either mechanically / electrically or true multiskilled.
- Time served/ NVQ Level 3/ ONC/HNC/HND qualified or proven experience with fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ideally you will have experience with fast-moving machinery, pumps, valves, inverter drives, sensors, relays, PLC’s (Siemens), Site Services (steam generation plant, chilled water systems, compressors, processes), CIP systems (chemical cleaning plant)
- Computer literate – SAP, Microsoft Office, SCADA, Trend systems, HMI’S
