An exciting time for our UK supply chain as we continue our major capex development with our Westbury dairy receiving a further £18 million investment. This opportunity is to lead and drive transformational change within maintenance & engineering, collaborating with peers across site and our UK M&E LT to design a strategy towards WCM environment. Coaching and leading a large team with access to a considerable budget and autonomy to bring positive change.

What will the role look like?
- You will lead the site M&E department who are an experienced team working across specialist areas such as Process, Production, Automation, IT, Projects, Utilities, and site services.
- You will be responsible for leading the M&E roadmap onsite, also working with UK peers to chart the course towards world-class maintenance and engineering practices, encompassing the Arla Performance System, specialized topics relevant to the dairy industry and specific dairy product production.
- You will be accountable for effective control and deployment of an annual multi-million-pound maintenance budget.
- You will work closely with Operations on the journey of Operator Asset Care improvement & expansion.
- You will develop the M&E department to provide the reliability and capability required as the site grows both in size and strategic importance.
- As part of the Site Leadership Team, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of all strategic initiatives and plans for the site.
What do I need?
- A robust understanding of M&E within an automated fast moving manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding and experience working with M&E safety & compliance.
- Proven M&E focused continuous improvement experience (TPM, WCM methodology preferred)
- Strong leadership experience with a focus on people development, having managed a M&E department with an engineering team of c25 or more.
- An appetite for creating positive change and experience in culture-led change management.
- We are looking for someone who gets the best out of others, who will lead, coach, motivate and inspire people to perform on a day-to-day basis.
- Unphased by short term priority changes whilst keeping the long-term goals on track.
- Willingness to support Apprentices development whilst upskilling the whole team to drive efficiency and capability.
- Capable of demonstrating and leading with a true sense of urgency to meet business needs.
