About the role:
The CBRE Occupancy Planning Director will direct the department in the achievement of strategic goals and occupancy planning deliverables for our global industrial client account. This job is part of the Moves, Additions and Changes function responsible for building space design, construction, and moving services. Initial program is reorganization and restack of mixed-use office facilities in Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC. Ideal candidate must be proficient in strategic occupancy planning and able to implement change management.
What you’ll do:
- Provide formal supervision to employees and track the training and development of staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and mentoring.
- Lead all aspects of the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
- Set and track staff and department deadlines.
- Establish performance objectives and deliverables related to the achievement of occupancy planning department goals and objectives.
- Assist in writing RFP responses and implementing proposals.
- Coordinate line of business platform subject area, geographic resources, and authorities able to support the needs of the line of business's clients.
- Lead and achieve financial, operational, and other measures as defined in deliverables and metrics established.
- Conduct periodic interviews of business units and other client leaders to identify future business direction related to growth, labor, market changes, and other issues that could impact real estate requirements.
- Develop a five-year real estate plan and build benchmarks to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Apply a robust knowledge of many subject areas, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental and cross-functional performance.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence) values.
- Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.
- Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job field.
What you’ll need:
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience as an owner's representative with extensive client interfacing experience.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- Ability to lead the exchange of critical and complex information, convey performance expectations, and balance occupancy issues.
- Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with impact on multiple department results within a function.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). AutoCAD is a plus.
