Summary:
As part of a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization, this role provides leadership to a dedicated geographic region in the development and execution of major gift fundraising strategy through best practices in goal setting, program design, and performance measures to ensure donor-centered activities that maximize engagement and revenue. Relentlessly pursuing cancer cures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight
- Provide strategic fundraising goal setting for major gift financial targets for Regions/Markets in designated territory.
- Serve as a catalyst to ensure that major gift fundraising programs are executed to standards of excellence for delivering and exceeding funding targets.
Donor Development Strategies
- Lead the collaborative development of annual and long-term plans for revenue generation in supporting mission priorities.
- Disseminate and ensure implementation of National tools supporting funding and engagement opportunities, tailoring for qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship purposes.
- Provide training and leadership to Region staff about funding opportunities, participating in strategy sessions and donor meetings to cultivate and solicit major and foundation gifts.
Pipeline Management
- Support prospect generation through analysis of event donors, direct mail and other acquisition opportunities; utilize analytical and research tools to guide the development of strategic prospect engagement plans.
- Deliver processes and training for tracking and use of donor management through SalesForce.
- Collaborate with Donor Engagement team, Territory Campaign Development Directors, Territory Business Development Directors and Territory Vice Presidents regarding donor prospect generation within assigned territory and markets.
Staff Development
- Coach, develop and mentor Advancement staff in designated market area.
- Provide leadership and direction for staff in the development and implementation of fundraising plans.
- Partner with Executive Directors to monitor and manage staff productivity through qualitative and quantitative performance metrics.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote Organizational initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 8+ years of experience in major gift fundraising, with demonstrated success in leading teams and building development programs.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Territory travel approximately 30% of time.
- Periodic weekend and evening work.

- Average salary range is $106K-$156K, open to further discussion based on geography.
