About this team
This role is part of the newly combined payment processing and fraud team. Functionally, we report into Finance, but we operate as a cross-functional, mission-aligned team (MAT). This structure empowers us to partner with leaders across the business to drive strategy and contribute to product development with the ultimate goal of increasing the likelihood of positive, profitable transactions.
About this role
This is a unique opportunity to serve as the subject matter expert on payment processing and fraud for a company that is both an established, global card-not-present merchant and a fast-growing fintech. As the leader of a cross-functional MAT, you will refine and execute on a multi-year payments strategy designed to unlock business growth, including payment orchestration, cross-border payment optimization, and adoption of alternative payment methods. Additionally, you will oversee fraud and dispute operations, creating synergy with the overall payments strategy and ensuring compliance with all relevant rules and standards, including network monitoring thresholds.
Challenges You'll Solve
- Identify and lead the development of innovative payment experiences in key markets that will achieve higher conversion, lower costs, and/or other business objectives while maintaining acceptable fraud levels.
- Serve as the company’s subject matter expert for payment processing and fraud, providing guidance and support to internal teams.
- In collaboration with engineers on your MAT, manage launches and subsequent support of payment processing and fraud prevention systems.
- Utilize data analytics to assess payment processing and fraud performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions, including implementing and maintaining a dynamic routing strategy.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements related to payment processing and fraud, and ensure they are appropriately considered in the company’s strategy.
- Oversee fraud and dispute operations.
About You
- 7+ years of hands-on experience working with a complex, tech-forward payments stack that includes gateways, processors/acquirers, vault and tokenization tools, alternative payment methods, fraud prevention tools, and dispute management tools; a mix of merchant and issuer experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience leading complex, cross-functional payments initiatives on a global scale.
- An understanding of payments engineering and data in a way that allows you to direct, facilitate processes, and collaborate effectively and efficiently with key partners.
- Ability to maximize resources for impact, thinking ahead to long term needs while balancing short-term goals and speed to market.
- Resourceful, self-motivated, and able to independently prioritize shifting workloads in a high growth, fast-moving, ambiguous, and matrixed environment.
- Adept at communicating complex topics to a wide and varied audience, including senior executives.

Salary
$110,000 - $220,000 a year
As part of our compensation philosophy at
Super.com we benchmark roles based on geographic location. The base salary range for this position is
$110,000 USD - $220,000 USD.
