The Field-Based National Leader, Patient Access, is responsible for oversight, leadership, and execution of the Patient Access (MPA) team. This position is vital in maximizing patient access to Radicava and other Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma America (MTPA) portfolio products. This leader will seamlessly collaborate with sales and other internal partners to develop plans that facilitate patient access to therapy and will be instrumental in ensuring that the MPA team sets the industry standard for excellence.

Responsibilities:
- Directly manage and oversee the field-based Patient Access team, including tactical deployment, training, coaching, and hiring, ensuring the development of a high-performing best in class team.
- Set strategic objectives for patient access, develop and implement tactical strategies for the MTPA portfolio, and deliver results that positively impact both the top and bottom lines of the organization.
- Ensure collaboration across field teams and home office to execute the key goals of the MPA team.
- Drive compliance within the MPA team and partner with legal and compliance team to review SOP’s and ensure proper safeguards with patient and HCP information/data.
- Define the strategic vision and direction for patient access, drive consistency in goals and expectations, and collaborate with Sales Analytics to strategize on and support the implementation of incentive compensation plans, reporting, and leveraging attainment metrics to motivate staff.
- Provide routine 1:1 coaching, performance updates and detailed feedback to MPA team with the goal of identifying developmental opportunities, differentiating performance and broadly elevating individual and team performance.
- Serves as Patient Access Expert for MTPA and represents this on the Radicava team, as well as for any potential pipeline products; displaying fluency in patient services, access, reimbursement, coverage, coding and data analytics. Will drive success to support long-term patient access strategy leading to new starts, conversion and treatment adherence.
- Work with cross functional teams to create effective, positive partnerships with peers and key internal/external stakeholders and ensure alignment of business needs and objectives.
- Align with sales force leadership on the strategy, account prioritization, execution and expectations for key metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years in reimbursement, contract strategy, managed care sales or marketing, or a closely related field leadership role.
- At least 7 years in a management capacity in one of the above functions with demonstrated success.
- Preferred Experience: market access, first line sales management; Neurology, CNS; Specialty Pharmacy; Infusion; Rare Disease, Pharmacy Benefit product(s); prior success in product launch strategy, planning, and execution.
- Demonstrated expertise in the reimbursements process and implication on how that impacts HCP’s, patients and payers.
- Extensive knowledge of Managed Care, Government, and Federal payer sectors.
- Proven understanding of the product launch lifecycle, from strategy through execution.
- Outstanding leadership, team development, ability to hold individuals accountable and coaching skills.
- Well-honed interpersonal skills and customer orientation; proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships internally and externally up to executive levels.
- Strong project management skills coupled with sense of urgency; able to manage concurrent projects and initiatives within established timelines.
- Budget management skills.
- Strong communication skills: oral, written, training/presentation.
- Proficient in MS Office including strong Excel skills.
- Must be able to travel 60% domestically.

The salary range for this position is $155,000 - $264,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
This position is eligible to participate in our annual Short-Term Incentive (STI) program. Specific information about the plan including eligibility rules and target, will be furnished upon hire.
